Using the DVD-R/RW/CD-RW Drive The DVD-R/RW/CD-RW drive allows you to play and record both DVDs and CDs, including MP3 recordings. To utilize the full Media Center features for playing and recording DVDs, it is recommended that you use the Play DVD option on the Main Menu. As a secondary option, NVDVD media player comes pre-installed on the M2000 Digital Media Center (the NVDVD icon is on the Windows desktop). Using the 6-in-1 Media Slots The two media slots at the top of the Media Center accept six types media cards. The cards allow you to play and record digital audio, digital still pictures, and digital video recordings. See the illustration below for the types media that are supported. Media slot for: Compact Flash Type I/II or IBM® Microdrive® DVD/CD Eject Button Media slot for: SD (Secure Digital) card, MMC (MultiMedia card), SMC (Smart Media card), or Sony® Memory Stick DVD-R/RW/CD-RW Drive On/Off Power Button & LED Indicator (ring around Power button) Blue = On Amber = Standby mode ViewSonic NextVisionTM M2000 Digital Media Center 23
