Directory Edit a directory entry 1. Search for the desired entry in the directory (see Review and dial from the directory or Alphabetical search on page 31). 2. When the desired entry appears, press SELECT. The screen displays Edit number and the stored number. 3. Use the dialing keys to edit the number. Edit number 800-595-9511_ ECO • Press DELETE to backspace and erase a digit. • Press and hold DELETE to erase the entire entry. • Press or to move the cursor to the left or right. • Press and hold PAUSE to insert a dialing pause (a P appears). 4. Press SELECT to move on to edit the name. The screen displays Edit name and then the stored name. Edit name 5. Use the dialing keys to edit the name (up to 15 characters). Additional key presses show other characters of that particular key. • Press DELETE to backspace and erase a character. ECO Mike Smith_ • Press and hold DELETE to erase the entire entry. ECO • Press or to move the cursor to the left or right. • Press 0 to add a space. 6. Press SELECT to confirm. The screen displays Saved and then you hear a confirmation tone. The screen displays Delete contact? and the number. 3. Press SELECT to confirm. The screen displays Deleting ... and then Contact deleted. You hear a confirmation tone. Edit a directory entry
Search for the desired entry in the directory (see
Review and dial from the directory

on page 31).
When the desired entry appears, press
SELECT
. The screen
displays
Edit number
and the stored number.
