Telephone operation HANDSET I RDL MENU CID 11 VOL HOLD MUTE BASE RDL MENU CID Basic operation Making a call Using a cordless handset: • Press LINE 1/FLASH, LINE 2/FLASH or SPEAKER, then enter the telephone number. To end a call: • Press OFF/CLEAR or return the handset to the charger. Using the telephone base: • Lift the corded handset, or press SPEAKER or HEADSET (if a headset is connected) on the telephone base. To choose a line, press LINE 1 or LINE 2, then��d�ia�l��t�h�e��te��le�p��h�o�n��e�n��u�m��b�e�r�. To end a call: • Return the corded handset to the telephone base, or press SPEAKER or HEADSET (if a headset is connected) to hang up. On-hook dialing (predialing) Using a cordless handset: 1. Enter the telephone number. Press OFF/CLEAR to make corrections when entering the phone number. 2. Press LINE 1/FLASH, LINE 2/FLASH, or SPEAKER to dial. NOTE: If the speakerphone on the telephone base is active, placing the corded handset in the telephone base will not end the call. Using the telephone base: 1. Enter the telephone number. Press CLEAR to make corrections when entering the phone number. 2. Press SPEAKER or HEADSET (if a headset is connected) to dial. -OR- Lift the corded handset to dial. 14
