IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following: 1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. 2. A lways unplug from outlet when not in use, prior to handling, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. 3. T o protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the blender base in water or other liquids. 4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge. 5. Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of product may create a risk of fire when used with another product. 6. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the product or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. 7. Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained. 8. Do not interchange wall warts with different chargers. Only use with intended charger. 9. Avoid contact with moving parts. 10. D o not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. 11. The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards. 12. Do not use outdoors. 13. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 14. K eep all foreign objects out of the container while blending to prevent the possibility of severe personal injury and/or damage to the blender. 15. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. 16. Always operate blender with cover in place. 17. The use of ear protection is recommended during extended operating periods. 18.
