40 Installing user software on a PC-compatible computer Setting up printing with Windows NT To set up Windows NT printing, install the Windows NT PostScript printer driver and configure printing for your network type. Note that printer files support the Intel version of Windows NT. If your administrator has set up the Fiery SI on an NT server and shared it, you may not have to enter all the information described in this section. Any windows that are not necessary will not appear, and you can verify information that appears in other windows instead of typing in new information. For information about setting up and printing to the Fiery SI with a Windows NT server, see the Administrator Guide. NOTE: If you have problems installing the Fiery SI with Windows NT, try installing another PostScript printer (such as the Apple LaserWriter IIg), and then install the Fiery SI. Installing another printer insures that all files are properly installed and available. For instructions, see your Windows NT documentation. TO INSTALL THE PRINTER FILE FOR A PARALLEL, TCP/IP, OR APPLETALK CONNECTION FROM WINDOWS NT WORKSTATION: 1. In the Windows NT Print Manager window, choose Create Printer from the Printer menu. 2. In the Create Printer dialog box, scroll down the list of drivers and select Other. The Install Driver dialog box is displayed, prompting you to insert the disk.
