22-11 Network Setup options 3. To use Ethernet, choose Ethernet Setup, choose the protocol, and enter the appropriate settings. 4. When you have finished entering settings for one protocol, either select Ethernet Setup again and select another protocol that you use, or choose Exit Network Setup. 5. To use token ring, choose Token Ring Setup, and then choose the appropriate token ring and IPX settings. 6. To use the parallel port, choose Parallel Port Setup and enter the appropriate settings. 7. When you have finished entering network settings, choose Exit Network Setup. 8. Choose Yes when prompted to save changes. 9. From the main setup menu, choose another setup or choose Exit Setup. For first time setup, or if you have configured a new connection, choose Printer Setup after you finish Network Setup. Exit Ethernet Setup AppleTalk Setup TCP/IP Setup IPX (Novell) Setup Ethernet Setup Network Setup Ethernet Setup Ethernet Setup options You can enable AppleTalk, TCP/IP, and IPX (Novell) communication simultaneously on Ethernet cabling. To configure the Fiery SI, choose each protocol and enter the settings for that protocol. Since network setups are nested, the names of higher-level menus are shown in this chapter to the left of each menu heading. AppleTalk Setup Enable AppleTalk Yes/No [Yes] Select Yes if you have an AppleTalk network connected to the Fiery SI. This setting enables the Fiery SI to communicate over AppleTalk networks. AppleTalk Zone list of zones The Fiery SI searches the network for AppleTalk zones. Scroll through the list to select the AppleTalk zone in which you want the Fiery SI to appear. If you do not enter a zone, the Fiery SI is assigned to the default AppleTalk zone. The alert "No AppleTalk zone found" may mean your network has no zones, or the network cable is not connected (see page 4-3). Choose OK.
