Troubleshooting Appendix Troubleshooting ■ Something seems to be wrong; some malfunction seems to have occurred. When one of the following problems occur, immediately turn off the power and have the device inspected by Yamaha service personnel. • The device is chipped, cracked or deformed. • It gives off extreme heat. • It emits unusual smells or smoke. • The power cannot be turned on, even though the battery is fully charged. • Battery power is depleted immediately, despite having just fully charged the device. ■ Buttons do not respond./Display cannot be turned on or cannot be changed. • A system error has occurred. Press the [RESET] switch and turn on again (page 11). ■ Power does not turn on. • A system error has occurred. Press the [RESET] switch and turn on again (page 11). • Battery power is low. Charge the battery. ■ When turning the power on, a "Memory full" message appears and the BF-11 cannot be started up. • There is no memory space in the device for booting up. Connect the BF-11 to the computer and delete unnecessary files. • The song data may not be loaded correctly. Make sure to use the included BODiBEAT Station software to load songs to the BF-11 (page 52). ■ Display suddenly turns off. • Change the Display Time setting (page 69). ■ The earphones easily drop off from ears. • The earphones may not be put in your ears correctly. Make sure not to reverse the right and left earphones, and attach them correctly (page 19). • The cable tightener may be loose. Slide the cable tightener toward your head (page 20). When one of the following problems occur, immediately turn off the
power and have the device inspected by Yamaha service personnel.
• The device is chipped, cracked or deformed.
• It gives off extreme heat.
• It emits unusual smells or smoke.
• The power cannot be turned on, even though the battery is fully charged.
• Battery power is depleted immediately, despite having just fully charged the
device.
