Creating Original Accompaniment Patterns Creating Original Accompaniment Patterns QY100 accompaniment patterns are created by combining "phrases" - either preset or original - in the PATTERN mode. A phrase is simply an individual "part" of a pattern - e.g. a drum phrase, a bass phrase, a keyboard phrase, etc. - using a single voice. The QY100 has 4,285 preset phrases, and 384 memory locations for original patterns (i.e., 64 user styles, each with independent INTRO, MAIN A, MAIN B, FILL AB, FILL BA, and ENDING sections). You can also see phrase components of the preset patterns in the PATTERN mode. The Preset Phrases The QY100 has a total of 4,285 preset phrases that can be combined to create a virtually endless variety of accompaniment patterns. The preset phrase numbers have three sections, as shown below. The cursor can be placed at any of these three sections to select as required. Number Beat Category 98
