PREPARATION CONNECTION/ INITIAL SETTINGS PLAYBACK Troubleshooting Problem Cause Remedy No sound from the subwoofer. The image is not displayed on TV screen. Menu screen of this unit is not displayed. A digital or highfrequency equipment produces noises. The system settings change automatically. The HDMI control function does not work properly. The automatic lipsync is not effective even "AUTO LIP SYNC" is set to "ON". "Not Available" appears on the front panel display after key operation. The subwoofer is not connected properly. The level of subwoofer is low. HDMI cable is not securely connected. VIDEO OUTPUT jacks of this unit and TV are not connected. The input switch of TV is not set correctly. The unit may be placed close to digital equipment or high-frequency equipment. When "HDMI CONTROL" is set to "ON", operations of the TV (for example, changing channels, etc.) may change the system settings, such as the surround mode. "HDMI CONTROL" is set to "OFF". The HDMI control function is disabled on your TV. The number of the connected HDMI components is over the limit. The TV does not support the automatic lipsync. The key is unable to function in the current condition. Check if the subwoofer is connected properly. Increase the subwoofer level with SUBWOOFER + key. Connect them with an HDMI connection or a digital connection. Connect the jacks with video pin cable (supplied). Switch the input source for your TV. Leave these equipments from the unit. Set "HDMI CONTROL" to "OFF" or set the system again by using its remote control. Set "HDMI CONTROL" to "ON". Refer to the manual supplied with your TV and check the setting. Disconnect some of the HDMI components. Set "AUTO LIP SYNC" to "OFF" and then manually adjust the audio output delay. See page 13 26 14, 15 14 - - 43 43 - - 40 Remote control Problem The remote control does not work and/or function properly. Cause Remedy Wrong distance or angle. Direct sunlight or lighting (from an inverter type of fluorescent lamp, etc.) is striking the remote control sensor of this unit. The batteries are weak. The remote control functions within a maximum range of 6 m (20 ft) and no more than 30 degrees off-axis from the front panel. Reposition this unit. Replace all batteries.
