APPENDIX Glossary Glossary Digital Sound Projector Ordinarily, two front speakers, a center speaker, two surround speakers, and a subwoofer are necessary for enjoying 5.1 channel surround sound. The sound image of the system Sampling frequency The number of sampling (process for digitalizing analog signals) per second. Supporting bitrates up to 6.0 Mbps, Dolby Digital Plus can carry up to 7.1 discreet audio channels simultaneously. 7.1 channel surround playback
