CHAPTER 15 Broadcast Storm Control This chapter introduces and shows you how to configure the broadcast storm control feature. 15.1 Broadcast Storm Control Setup Broadcast storm control limits the number of broadcast, multicast and destination lookup failure (DLF) packets the Switch receives per second on the ports. When the maximum number of allowable broadcast, multicast and/or DLF packets is reached per second, the subsequent packets are discarded. Enable this feature to reduce broadcast, multicast and/or DLF packets in your network. You can specify limits for each packet type on each port. Click Advanced Application > Broadcast Storm Control in the navigation panel to display the screen as shown next. Table 36 Advanced Application > Broadcast Storm Control LABEL DESCRIPTION Active Select this check box to enable traffic storm control on the Switch. Clear this check box to disable this feature.
