CHAPTER 43 SSL Application 43.1 Overview You use SSL application objects in SSL VPN. Configure an SSL application object to specify the type of application and the address of the local computer, server, or web site SSL users are to be able to access. You can apply one or more SSL application objects in the VPN > SSL VPN screen for a user account/user group. 43.1.1 What You Can Do in this Chapter • Use the SSL Application screen (Section 43.2 on page 661) to view the ZyWALL's configured SSL application objects. • Use the SSL Application Edit screen to create or edit web-based application objects to allow remote users to access an application via standard web browsers (Section 43.2.1 on page 662). • You can also use the SSL Application Edit screen to specify the name of a folder on a Linux or Windows file server which remote users can access using a standard web browser (Section 43.2.1 on page 662). 43.1.2 What You Need to Know Application Types You can configure the following SSL application on the ZyWALL. • Web-based A web-based application allows remote users to access an intranet site using standard web browsers. Remote User Screen Links Available SSL application names are displayed as links in remote user screens.
