Heater and radiator hoses, and otherengine If parts, can be very hot. Don't touch them. you do, youcan be burned. Don't run the engine if there is a leak. If you run the engine, it could loseall coolant. That could cause an engine fire, and you could beburned. Get any leak filed before you drive the vehicle. If it isn't, the coolant level should be indicated a by CHECK COOLANT LEVEL message onthe Driver Information Center.If it is, you may have a leak in the pump radiator hoses, heater hoses, radiator, water or somewhere else in the cooling system. NOTICE: Engine damage if you keep running your engine by without coolant isn't covered your warranty. See "Overheated Engine Protection Operating Mode" in the Index. If there seems to be leak, with the engine check to no on, see if the electric engine cooling fans are running. If the If engine is overheating, both fans should be running. they aren't, your vehicle needs service. 5-19
