Here a child is sitting ain that has a seat lap-shoulder belt,but the shoulderpart is behind the child.If the child wears the belt in way, in this a crash the child might slide the belt. The under belt's force wouldthen be applied right the on child's abdomen.That could cause serious or fatal injuries. The lap portion of the belt should be worn low and snug on the hips, touching the child's thighs. This applies just belt force to the child's pelvic bones in a crash. 1-47
