Moving the Monitor to be Flat When you want to operate some function on the car (air conditioner, etc.) which is hidden by the raised monitor, use this function. 1 When the monitor is open, press OPEN (FLAT). The monitor moves to the flat position. 2 Press OPEN (FLAT) again. The monitor returns to the previous angle. • The monitor returns to the previous angle 10 seconds after being moved to the flat position. • If an excessive force is added to the monitor when the monitor is flat, putting an object on the back of the monitor for example, it may cause a malfunction. Recalling the Source Here is an example explanation for the Radio mode display on how to recall a source. 1 Press SOURCE/ . The SOURCE selection screen is displayed. Display example for SOURCE selection screen Adjusting the Volume Adjust the volume by turning the Rotary encoder. Volume: 0 - 35 Lowering Volume Quickly Activating this function will instantly lower the volume level by 20 dB. Press MUTE (Rotary encoder) to activate the MUTE mode. The audio level decreases by about 20 dB. Pressing MUTE (Rotary encoder) again brings the audio back to its previous level. Displays source modes that can be selected. Changes to the Rear Selection screen when "Setting the Picture/Sound Output" (page 38) is set to ON. Returns to the previous screen. • The kind of source modes that are displayed varies depending on connection and setting. • When the source icon is not displayed on SOURCE Selection screen, it is displayed on the next page. Touching [NEXT] on the SOURCE Selection Screen will display the next page; touching [PREV.] will return to the previous page. How to view the Display PULSETOUCH™ operation The display unit is equipped with onscreen, tactile feedback (PULSETOUCH™). What is the tactile feedback (PULSETOUCH™) ? When you touch a button graphic in the display, you will feel a mild vibration and click on the display panel surface. This feedback enables you to easily identify action areas in the display. • To protect the display, touch the onscreen button with the tip of your finger. • If you touch a button and there is no reaction, remove your finger from the display once, and try again. • If you touch two buttons at the same time, a malfunction may occur. Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the volume by turning the
Rotary encoder
.
Volume: 0 - 35
Lowering Volume Quickly
Activating this function will instantly lower the volume level by 20 dB.
Press
MUTE (Rotary encoder)
to activate the MUTE
mode.
The audio level decreases by about 20 dB.
Pressing
MUTE (Rotary encoder)
again brings the audio back to
its previous level.
How to view the Display
The display unit is equipped with onscreen, tactile feedback
(PULSETOUCH™).

To protect the display, touch the onscreen button with the tip of your
finger.
•
If you touch a button and there is no reaction, remove your finger
from the display once, and try again.
•
If you touch two buttons at the same time, a malfunction may occur.
