1.2.3 Central Processing Unit (CPU) The motherboard comes with a surface mount LGA1150 socket designed for the 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 / Intel® Core™ i5 / Intel® Core™ i3, Pentium®, and Celeron® processors. E�n�s�u�r�e��t�h�a�t�a�l�l �p�o�w��e�r�c�a�b��le�s��a�r�e��u�n�p�l�u�g�g�e�d��b�e��fo�r�e��in��s�ta�l�li�n�g��th��e�C��P�U��. • Ensure that you install the correct CPU designed for LGA1150 only. DO NOT install a CPU designed for LGA1155 and LGA1156 sockets on the LGA1150 socket U�p�o�n��p�u�r�c�h�a��s�e�o��f �th��e�m��o�t�h�e�r�b�o�a�r�d�,�e��n�s�u�r�e��th�a�t��th�e��P��n�P��c�a�p��is��o�n��th��e�s�o��c�k�e�t�a�n�d� the socket contacts are not bent. Contact your retailer immediately if the PnP cap is missing, or if you see any damage to the PnP cap/socket contacts/motherboard components.
