3.7.9 Platform Event Filters Platform Event Filtering (PEF) provides a mechanism for configuring the BMC to take selected actions on event messages that it receives or has internally generated. These actions include operations such as system power-off, system reset, as well as triggering the generation of an alert. A PEF implementation is recommended to provide at least 16 entries in the event filter table. A subset of these entries should be pre-configured for common system failure events, such as over-temperature, power system failure, fan failure events, etc. Event Filters This page shows all configured Event filters and available slots. You can modify or add new event filter entry on this page. By default,15 event filter entries are configured among the 40 available slots. - All: View both available Configured and UnConfigured slots. - Configured or UnConfigured: View either available Configured or available UnConfigured slots. Click on the x icon to the top right of the event filter slot to delete the event filter slot from the list. • Event Filter Configuration Clicking on a Configured or UnConfigured slot will allow you to edit an event filter, or add a new event filter. Enable this filter Enable or disable PEF settings. Event severity to trigger Select an Event Severity from the dropdown list. Event Filter Action Alert Enable or disable PEF Alert action. Platform Event Filters

Event Filter Configuration
Clicking on a Configured or UnConfigured slot will allow you to edit an event filter,
or add a new event filter.
Enable this filter
Enable or disable PEF settings.
Event severity to trigger
Select an Event Severity from the dropdown list.
