p 0 * 4• Figure 4 N Alternate choices for placing the surround speakers Surround sneakers Position your surround speakers The VCS-300"" surround speakers provide surround sound effects from the rear of your viewing area (Figure 4). Set the speakers on a table or shelf. Or, if you prefer, use the T-nuts on the bottom of each speaker enclosure to mount the speakers using Bose' brackets. Note: Bose VVB-10 wall brackets are designed for use with VCS-300 surround speakers. For information, or to order the brackets, contact Bose as listed on the inside back cover. For accurate surround sound: • Place these speakers behind the general viewing area, along the rear wall or to the rear of side walls. • Do not aim them at the listeners. • Make sure they are at least 2 feet (.6 m) from your video screen. • Place both speakers at the same height. • Place the speakers as far apart as your room allows. CAUTION: Do not place the surround speakers within two feet (.6 m) of your video screen. They are not magnetically shielded and will caul serious video scree discoloration ifplaced too close to the screen. • 6
