Elapsed Time Shooting Movies Start shooting. zzPress the movie button. The camera beeps once as recording begins, and [ Rec] is displayed with the elapsed time. XXBlack bars displayed on the top and bottom edges of the screen indicate image areas not recorded. A2600 XXFrames displayed around any detected faces indicate that they are in focus. zzOnce recording begins, take your finger off the movie button. Resize the subject and recompose the shot as needed. zzTo resize the subject, repeat the operations in step 3 (=34). However, note that the sound of camera operations will be recorded. A2600 Note that movies shot at zoom factors shown in blue will look grainy. A1400 Note that the zoom factor is shown in blue, and movies will look grainy. zzWhen you recompose shots, the focus, brightness, and colors will be automatically adjusted. Still Images/Movies Finish shooting. zzPress the movie button again to stop shooting. The camera beeps twice as recording stops. XXRecording will stop automatically when the memory card becomes full. • If the camera is turned on while the button is held down, the camera will no longer sound. To activate sounds again, press the button and choose [Mute] on the [3] tab, and then press the buttons to choose [Off]. In this case, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to keep it still. • If your shots are dark despite the flash firing, move closer to the subject.
