Using the LCD Monitor (continued) • You can also set the LCD monitor display settings in the shooting mode while an image is being reviewed right after being taken by first pressing the button and then the button. • The display mode is memorized when the camera is turned off. It assumes the last mode when it is turned on again. When the LCD monitor is used for shooting and the low battery icon appears, however, the LCD monitor may not automatically turn on the next time the camera is started. • When the LCD monitor is set to On (No Information), shooting information appears for approximately 6 seconds when you take any of the following actions. • The power is turned on. • The button is pressed. • The focus is set with the manual focus. • The shutter speed or the aperture value is changed with the main dial. • The shooting mode is changed. • Setting the mode dial to or turns on the LCD monitor regardless of whether it is set to on or off. The camera shake warning icon will appear on the LCD monitor in low light conditions while the camera is preparing to shoot. When this icon appears, set the flash to On or Auto, or fix the camera to a tripod to shoot. 2 Replaying Mode Pressing the button cycles the information view mode each time the button is pressed.
