II. Speedlite 380EX with Type-A Cameras (2) Flash with Shutter Speed-Priority AE When you want to create a certain effect with the shutter speed, use shutter speed-priority AE. In this mode, you set the sync speed anywhere from 30 sec. to the camera's maximum sync speed. The camera then sets the aperture automatically to obtain the correct background exposure.
