 Click the icon of the printer to be used for printing, then from the File menu select Properties. 5 Perform the print connection settings.  Click the Ports tab.  Click the Add Port button. The Printer Ports dialog box opens.  In the "Available Printer Ports" list, click LPR Port, then click the New Port button.  When the Add LPR compatible printer dialog box opens, enter the name or IP address into the "Name or address of server providing lpd" text box.  Enter lp into the "Name of printer or print queue on that server" text box then click the OK button. 6 Click the OK button to enable the settings. This completes the printer connection settings.
