See "Replacing a Failed Host Adapter" for guidelines. Replacing a Failed Host Adapter To replace a failed host adapter in a cluster node: 1. Shut down the Oracle instance on the node. 2. Shut down the Oracle services running on the node. 3. Shut down the server. 4. Power off the node. NOTE: The KGPSA-BC Host Adapter is not hot swappable, so the node must be completely shut down and powered off before removing and replacing this host adapter. 5. Disconnect the Fibre Channel cable installed between the failed host adapter and its Storage Hub or Fibre Channel SAN Switch. 6. Remove the failed host adapter and insert a new one. 7. Power up the node and run the System Configuration Utility. Take the default settings for the host adapter and save them. Restart the node when prompted. 8. From the Device Manager, open the entry SCSI Adapter and RAID Controllers and verify that the Compaq KGPSA device driver is started. If it is not started, reload the driver. 9. Connect the new host adapter by Fibre Channel cable to its Storage Hub or Fibre Channel SAN Switch.

Replacing a Failed Host Adapter
To replace a failed host adapter in a cluster node:
1.
Shut down the Oracle instance on the node.
2.
Shut down the Oracle services running on the node.
3.
Shut down the server.
4.
Power off the node.
NOTE:
The KGPSA-BC Host Adapter is not hot swappable, so the node must be
completely shut down and powered off before removing and replacing this host adapter.
5.
Disconnect the Fibre Channel cable installed between the failed host
adapter and its Storage Hub or Fibre Channel SAN Switch.
6.
Remove the failed host adapter and insert a new one.
7.
Power up the node and run the System Configuration Utility. Take the
default settings for the host adapter and save them. Restart the node
when prompted.
8.
From the Device Manager, open the entry
