Resolved Issues
The following issues have been resolved in this release.
Issue ID
Functional Area
Description
MDT-369654
CloudIQ
PowerStore does not appear in CloudIQ.
MDT-425839
Connectivity - Hosts
After upgrading to PowerStore version 2.1.1.1 with a direct attached storage (DAS)
configuration, if the host HBA sends both Fibre Channel (FC) and NVME over FC
connection requests, the PowerStore appliance will accept the first FC connection request
but then reject the second NVME over FC request because NVME over FC is NOT
supported. As both requests come from the same WWPN originator, both connections
will be rejected.
MDT-411128
Connectivity - Hosts
In some rare conditions, the Marvell FC QLA driver might crash if memory allocation from
the kernel space fails. This will result in a single node reboot. The node will reboot
automatically, and normal functions will be restored without any manual intervention.
MDT-404724
Connectivity - Hosts
PowerStore node may unexpectedly reboot due to a QLogic QED firmware and driver
issue.
MDT-403607
Connectivity - Hosts
PowerStore node may unexpectedly rebooted due to QLogic QED firmware and driver
issue
MDT-397662
Connectivity - Hosts
A "Job Failure" error appears after unmapping a volume from a host or host group when
multiple hosts or hosts groups that are mapped to different volumes are selected.
MDT-396826
Connectivity - Hosts
If an ESXi host is connected directly to a PowerStore cluster using Fibre Channel (FC)
cables and the FC cables are swapped, the HBA may fail to log into the PowerStore
cluster.
MDT-396286
Connectivity - Hosts
PowerStore FC QLA driver causes hosts log in issues.
MDT-395513
Connectivity - Hosts
In rare conditions, a Fibre Channel (FC) initiator may be unable to re-log into the
PowerStore target port due to FC connection change.
MDT-393744
Connectivity - Hosts
A Fibre Channel (FC) initiator may be unable to log into the PowerStore target port after
target port reset.
MDT-383195
Connectivity - Hosts
In rare conditions where the switch in the Fibre Channel (FC) fabric is oversubscribed and
there is flux in the number of devices on the fabric, a PowerStore node could reboot.
MDT-368559
Connectivity - Hosts
PowerStore Node may reboot due to QLA driver issue and host cannot login.
MDT-126502
Connectivity - Hosts
If a volume is unmapped when there is activity on the volume, the following error
message appears:
"Error while detaching host from volume".
This message will also appear, if you try unmapping a volume from a host while an import
is in progress.
MDT-405807
Connectivity -
Networks
iSCSI discovery may work incorrectly on a multi-appliance cluster after storage network
reconfiguration.
MDT-398246
Connectivity -
Networks
The firmware on the 4-port card or Ethernet IO Module, if present, may become
unresponsive and hang. This can result in a single-node reboot.
MDT-397069
Connectivity -
Networks
A SLIC added after system initialization may later result in SFP information showing as
missing and may result in alerts. This does not impact the usability of the ports.
MDT-394978
Connectivity -
Networks
In specific releases the 256 initiator limit per PowerStore Fibre Channel port was not
being enforced. If this limit is surpassed this could lead to unexpected behavior such as
port resets and even node reboots.
