Using Phone Features 49 Warning! To avoid damage to your hearing, do not hold your device against your ear when the Speakerphone is turned on. To mute a call You can turn off the microphone during a call, so that you can hear the caller but the caller cannot hear you. • During a call, tap Mute. • When the microphone is turned off, the mute icon ( ) appears on the screen. Tap Unmute to turn on the microphone again. 3.6 Additional Dialing Information Make an emergency call • Enter the international emergency number for your locale, and tap Talk. Tip Additional emergency numbers may be included in your SIM card. Contact your service provider for details. Make an international call 1. Tap and hold on the Phone keypad until the + sign appears. The + replaces the international prefix of the country that you are calling. 2. Enter the full phone number you want to dial, and tap Talk. The full phone number includes country code, area code (without the leading zero, if any) and phone number.
