provide the following features:
Data encryption support for B-series fabrics
Key management support for HP Secure Key Manager (SKM)
Fabric OS 6.2.0a integrated the following new features (which continue to be supported with this
release):
Support for the HP StorageWorks DC04 SAN Director
192 ports, 8-Gb technology in 8U chassis (without required front airflow mounting kit,
9U with kit)
Supports existing 8-Gb FC blades (16, 32, and 48 ports)
Supports existing 10-Gb 6 port ISL blade
Supports existing Multi-protocol (MP) Router blade
Supports inter-chassis link (ICL) connectivity to other DC04 SAN Directors and DC SAN
Backbone Directors
Virtual Fabrics (VFs)
Full VF feature support on HP StorageWorks DC SAN Backbone Director, HP
StorageWorks DC04 SAN Director, HP StorageWorks 8/80 SAN Switch, and HP
StorageWorks 8/40 SAN Switch.
Single physical chassis that can be subdivided into two or more logical switches, creating
a logical fabric with other switches.
Per-port assignment of ports to logical switches
Shared ISLs providing connectivity for multiple logical fabrics
FC Routing (FCR) and FCIP enhancements
FCIP (SCSI) read tape pipelining
Serial Over TCP (SOTCP) enhancements
Logical storage area network (LSAN) tagging
Support for
Pathinfo
over MetaSAN
Use Fabric Shortest Path First (FSPF) cost in the FCR backbone fabric to find the shortest
path to the edge fabric
In-band management link over FCIP connections for HP StorageWorks 400 MP Router
TCP byte streaming for FCIP connections with WAN optimization hardware
