Caveats Send documentation comments to [email protected] • CSCsq08896 Symptom: In rare cases, an FCIP link may flap periodically. When you issue the show port internal link-events command from the associated module, you may see a Loss of Sync reason in the output which might indicate this issue. Workaround: This issue is resolved. • CSCsq25306 Symptom: Class-2 frames on some of the FCIP interfaces in MSM-18/4 modules may get rejected with the reason "N Port Not Available Permanently (code: 0x04)" when upgraded from Release 3.2(3a) or earlier to Release 3.3(1a) or later. Workaround: This issue is resolved. • CSCsq32260 Symptom: When the show tech-support command is issued periodically over an extended period of time (for example, approximately 120 times) on Generation 2 MSM-18/4 modules, the number of open files in the /tmp directory reaches the maximum limit and new files can not be opened in the /tmp directory. In this instance, when a Supervisor switchover is done, the lc_cfg_mgr application fails and the module reloads. Workaround: This issue is resolved. • CSCsq37635 Symptom: If one or more IVR devices connected directly to IVR core switches, are configured with a physical port flapping delay of 2 seconds or less, IVR may put other directly connected IVR devices into the DU_OFFLINE status. It then brings them online again. Hosts may loose their LUNs and they will have to perform a PLOGI to obtain their LUNs again. Workaround: This issue is resolved • CSCsq47265 Symptom: In certain cases where a target returns CHECK CONDITION and simultaneously, the host or the target port is flapped, this particular tape drive may lock in Cisco SME. The tape device configuration for this drive will fail. Workaround: This issue is resolved. • CSCsq55164 Symptom: Generation 1 modules may reboot by ohms when the bootflash test fails. The following syslog messages are logged: %SYSTEMHEALTH-2-OHMS_BOOTFLASH_FAILED: Bootflash test maximum failures reached for module 1 Reason (1). %MODULE-2-MOD_DIAG_FAIL: Module 3 (serial: ABC1234567) reported failure on ports 3/13/16 (Fibre Channel) due to System Health failure in device 45 (device error 0xc2d00101) Starting with Release 3.3(1c), the default reload action has been changed to a warning. Workaround: This issue is resolved. • CSCsq54839 Symptom: Modules may reload and disrupt traffic after an upgrade using the install all command if an enhanced zoning lock exists. Workaround: This issue is resolvled. Cisco MDS 9000 Family Release Notes for Cisco MDS SAN-OS Release 3.3(1c) 32 OL-14116-08
