Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 32). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 32). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 45). Remove the touchpad: 1. Disconnect the card reader cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1). 2. Disconnect the touchpad button board cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (2). 3. Disconnect the NFC module cable from the ZIF connector on the NFC board (3). 4. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the computer. 5. Remove the touchpad from the computer (5). Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad. Component replacement procedures 53

4.
Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws

that secure the touchpad to the computer.
5.
Remove the touchpad from the computer

Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
