USB board Description USB board (includes cable) Spare part number 603683-001 Before removing the USB board: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first disconnecting the power cord from the AC outlet and then disconnecting the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Battery on page 43 b. Hard drive cover on page 44 c. Hard drive on page 45 d. Optical drive on page 52 e. Keyboard on page 53 f. Top cover on page 55 g. Touchscreen display assembly on page 60 or BrightView display assembly on page 65 To remove the USB board (right-side): 1. Disconnect the USB board cable (1) from the LIF connector on the system board. 2. Remove the screws (2) that secures the USB board to the base enclosure. ENWW Component replacement procedures 75

Before removing the USB board:
1.
