2. Remove the security screw from inside the battery bay (1) and insert it (2) to lock the service door in place. Removing or replacing the service door CAUTION: To prevent information loss or an unresponsive system: Save your work and shut down the computer before adding or replacing a memory module or hard drive. If you are not sure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on by pressing the power button. Then shut down the computer through the operating system. NOTE: Your computer may look slightly different from the illustration in this section. Save your work and shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect AC power and external devices connected to the computer. 3. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface. 4.
