Determining which resynchronization recovery procedure to use Determining which recovery procedure to use involves analyzing the information in the system information messages (SIM) and path failure system messages to determine if all of the conditions required to use resynchronization exist, then selecting the procedure to use. You select the procedure to use based on a number of factors, including the continuation of host I/O, failover, and the status of the secondary volume. Prerequisites Make sure you have identified the type of failure that occurred by using the system information messages (SIM) and path failure system messages.
