8 Type and confirm your Password. 9 Check Enable Internet File Browsing. Check this box if you also want to be able to browse shared folders remotely. 10 Click Save. The server connects to the Internet to check if your personal domain is available. If it is already in use, you are provided with alternate suggestions for your personal domain. Otherwise, you are returned to the Remote Access Setup page. Setting up your Router Setting up a personal web address is one requirement for enabling remote access. You also need to set up your router to pass remote access requests to your Media Vault. This is known as port forwarding. To setup your router 1 At the computer, click Start, All Programs, HP Media Vault, and then Control Center. 2 On the Tools tab, click Customize HP Media Vault. You are prompted for an administrator name and password if you set one up. For additional information, see Editing System Settings on page 2-26. 3 Click the Remote Access tab. If you already created a personal address, the Remote Access Setup page has several options enabled.
