Keep hard drives in their protective packaging until they are actually mounted in the CPU. ● Avoid dropping drives from any height onto any surface. ● If you are inserting or removing a hard drive, turn off the computer. Front Bezel Security The front bezel can be locked in place by installing a security screw provided by HP. To install the security screw: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for Disassembly on page 41). 2. Remove the access panel (Access Panel on page 42). 3. 6. Install the security screw next to the middle front bezel release tab to secure the front bezel in place. Do not rely on components like the drive cage, power supply, or computer cover to push cables down into the chassis. Always position the cables to lay properly by themselves. When removing the power supply power cables from the connectors on the system board, always follow these steps: 1. To achieve the maximum memory support, you can populate the system board with up to 16-GB of memory configured in a high-performing dual channel mode. x1 expansion card slot ● The computer system board has a PCI Express x1 expansion slot, a PCI Express x16 expansion slot, and a riser card expansion slot. The riser card expansion slot is populated with a riser card specifically designed for this product. plug any other type of card into this slot. NOTE: The following sections provide instructions for installing a Powered USB expansion card.
