After starting, confirm the output ready indicator light is green and stays on. FIGURE 11: Prime Engine NOTE: INITIAL START: Depress the primer bulb 30-50 times to prime the fuel lines. NOTE: If the generator has a low fuel tank or has been run to empty before being refilled, the primer bulb may need to be depressed 30-50 times to prime the fuel lines. 9. While securing the generator with one hand, grip the recoil starter handle and pull slowly until you feel slight resistance. NOTICE If the engine stops and will not restart, check the engine oil level before troubleshooting in other areas. FIGURE 12: Recoil Starter Handle 10. Apply 1 to 4 swift pulls to start the engine, carefully returning the recoil starter handle to the original position. NOTICE To prevent damage to the generator, do not allow the recoil starter handle to snap back against the engine. 11.
