Unlocking with fingerprint Enrolling your fingerprint You can unlock the screen or access encrypted data with your fingerprint. To protect your privacy, this feature is only available when the screen lock method is PIN or Password. 1. Open Settings. 2. Touch Fingerprint ID. 3. Choose PIN or Password, and follow the onscreen instructions to set a password. 4. Follow the onscreen instructions to enroll your fingerprint. Unlocking the screen with your fingerprint 1. Open Settings. 2. Touch Fingerprint ID and follow the onscreen instructions to enter your password. 3. Touch Unlock screen. Then place your finger on the fingerprint scanner on the back of your phone to unlock the screen. 1
