NS-27HTV 27-inch Color TV When V-Chip Mode Conflict-Set to block or view. When the V-chip has a conflict, the user can decide the programs received to view or block. MPAA Rating-If you set the password, you need to input the password to enter this menu. There are seven ratings for MPAA Rating: NR, G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, X. Select one rating, then press the ENTER button to set it to lock or unlock. You can automatically block all MPAA ratings above a specified rating level. Also, all of the age-based ratings are locked or unlocked within the particular group. Note MPAA Rating: • G-General audience. No restriction. • PG-Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. • PG-13-Parental guidance suggested. Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. • R-Restricted. Viewers should be 17 or older. • NC-17-Not classified. Viewers should be 17 or older. • X-Adults only. • NR-Not rated. TV Rating-Press the arrow buttons to select the rating, the press the ENTER button to select the rating to be locked or unlocked. Also, more restrictive ratings can be locked or unlocked. Note TV Rating: • TV-Y-All children. The themes and elements in this program are specifically designed for a very young audience, including children from ages two to six. • TV-Y7-Directed to older children. Themes and elements in this program may include mild physical or comedic violence, or may frighten children under the age of seven. • TV-G-General audience. It contains little or no violence, no strong language, and little or no sexual dialogue situations. • TV-PG-Parental guidance suggested. The program may contain infrequent coarse language, limited violence, some suggestive sexual dialogue, and situations. • TV-14-Parents strongly cautioned. This program may contain sophisticated themes, sexual content, strong language, and more intense violence. • TV-MA-Mature audiences only. This program may contain mature themes, profane language, graphic violence, and explicit sexual content. CE Rating-Press the arrow buttons to select the rating, then press the ENTER button to lock or unlock it. Also, more restrictive ratings can be locked or unlocked. CF Rating-Press the arrow buttons to select the rating, then press the ENTER button to lock or unlock it. Also, more restrictive ratings can be locked or unlocked. Note The Last Two Items-The last two items can show one or two rating contents depending on the program preferences received. User can enter this menu to control program property, and decide which program they can view by setting it to lock or unlock. Using the System menu The System menu allows you to set passwords and specify settings for the OSD. OSD Select Menu Language-Select English, Spanish, or French. Use or to select the language, then press the ENTER button to confirm. Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu. Select OSD Transparency-Select Low, Middle, or High. Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu. Select OSD Timeout-Select Short, Middle, or Long. Press the EXIT button to return to the previous menu. Password Enter Password-Press the digital number buttons to type the password. Confirm Password-Repeat the password you just typed to confirm the password. Password-Saves or clears the password. If you forget your password, you can reset it. Enter 1739 as the password (default), then change it to a new one. Troubleshooting The most common types of television interference are as follows: Problem Snowy picture Solution • VHF/UHF: This is usually caused by a weak signal. Adjust the antenna or install an antenna amplifier. Double image or ghosts • VHF/UHF: This is usually caused by reflections from a tall building. Adjust the direction of the antenna or raise it.
