Desktop Board Features Status LEDs The LEDs in Table 5 indicate various board activities and error conditions on the board. Table 5. Status LEDs LED Item/Callout LED in Figure 7 Color HD Activity H Blue CPU Hot I Red VR Hot J Red CPU Error F Red Power Fault M Red Description This LED blinks to indicate the activity of SATA drives connected to the board. The LED indicates an elevated temperature on the processor that could affect board performance. This LED indicates an elevated temperature in the processor voltage regulator circuit that could affect board performance. Indicates that the system has experienced a catastrophic error and cannot continue to operate. The system power supply is malfunctioning. Speaker A speaker is mounted on the Desktop Board. The speaker provides audible error code (beep code) information during the Power-On Self-Test (POST). Refer to Appendix A for a description of the board's beep codes. Battery A battery on the Desktop Board keeps the values in CMOS RAM and the clock current when the computer is turned off and disconnected from AC power. Go to page 59 for instructions on how to replace the battery. Real-Time Clock The Desktop Board has a time-of-day clock and 100-year calendar.
