14 TROUBLESHOOTING 14.3 Resetting the Circuit Breaker ƽ WARNING NEVER defeat or bypass the circuit breaker. ONLY replace with a circuit breaker of the same rating.  For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 1. Key must be removed from ignition before resetting circuit breaker. Lynx L-3 shown. Lynx L-4 circuit breaker button is in the same location. Resetting the circuit breaker may be needed if the scooter does not turn on and the reset button has popped out about .25 inch. 1. The sources of radiated EMI can be broadly classified into three types:	15
1. Hand-held Portable transceivers (transmitters-receivers with the antenna mounted directly on the transmitting unit. Examples include: citizens band (CB) radios, “walkie talkie”, security, fire and police transceivers, cellular telephones, and ...	15
Some cellular telephones and similar devices transmit signals while they are ON, even when not being used.	15
2. Medium-range mobile transceivers, such as those used in police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and taxis. These usually have the antenna mounted on the outside of the vehicle; and	15

Electromagnetic interference (EMI) from sources such as radio and TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radios, and cellular phones can affect powered wheelchairs and motorized scooters.	15

3) If unintended movement or brake release occurs, turn the powered wheelchair OFF as soon as it is safe;	16
4) Be aware that adding accessories or components, or modifying the powered wheelchair, may make it more susceptible to EMI (Note: There is no easy way to evaluate their effect on the overall immunity of the powered wheelchair); and	16
5) Report all incidents of unintended movement or brake release to the powered wheelchair manufacturer, and note whether there is a source of EMI nearby.	16

3. Key - The key is just below the control panel. Turn the key:	24
• To the Left - Turn the scooter off.	24

4. Horn Button - The horn button is located on left side of the control panel.	24
5. Throttle Control Lever - The throttle control lever is located in front of the handles on the tiller assembly.	24
6. Service Indicator - The service indicator will flash if there is a problem with the scooter. The number of flashes indicates the type of error. Refer to Service Indicator Error Codes on page 54.	24
