42 MAINTENANCE Thawing out the Appliance Running the Thawing Mode 1 Turn on the appliance and press the Less Time button for 3 seconds. NOTE • Press only the Less Time button on the control panel to activate the thawing mode. • Only the Power and Start/Pause buttons work when the thawing mode is activated. • The thawing time cannot be changed manually. • To deactivate the thawing mode, turn off the appliance. 3 Turn on the appliance and run the Normal cycle for about 30 seconds. Then wait about 30 minutes. 4 Run the Normal cycle again. Check if the OE message appears or E lights up within 10 minutes of running the appliance. • If the OE message or E icon appears go to step 2 and repeat procedure. • If the OE message or E do not appear, the thawing process is done. 5 When thawing is complete, dry clothes as usual. 2 Press the Start/Pause button to start the thawing mode. • Actual thawing time varies depending on the installation environment such as installation location and ambient temperature of the appliance. 3 When thawing is complete, dry clothes as usual. Thawing out the Appliance Manually 1 Open the dryer door and pull out both the inner and outer filters. 2 Carefully pour 34 oz. (1 liter) of hot water at 140 ℉ / 60 ℃ into the lint filter compartment and then reinsert both lint filters. CAUTION • Pouring more that 51 oz. (1.5 liters) of water into the compartment will cause water to leak out. • Wear gloves and use care when pouring hot water. 140 ℉ (60 ℃) water can cause scalding or burns. Using water that is hotter than that can cause the appliance to malfunction.
