Using Phone Menus TTY Mode (Menu ) Allows you to attach a TTY device enabling you to communicate with parties also using a TTY device. A phone with TTY support is able to translate typed characters to voice. Voice can also be translated into characters and then displayed on the TTY. 1. Press Left Soft Key Menu. 2. Press Settings. 3. Press System. 4. Press TTY Mode. 5. Select TTY Full / TTY+TALK / TTY+HEAR / TTY Off then press . 114 VX4600 Security (Menu ) The Security menu allows you to secure the phone electronically. Lock Phone (Menu ) Keeps your phone from unauthorized use. Once the phone is locked, it is in restricted mode until the lock code is entered. You can receive phone calls and still make emergency calls. You can modify the lock code using the New Lock code within the Security menu. 1. Press Left Soft Key Menu. 2. Press Settings. 3. Press Security. 4. Enter the four-digit lock code. The lock code is commonly the last 4 digits of your phone number. 5. Press Lock Phone. 6. Select an option then press . Unlock The phone is never locked (Lock mode can be used). Lock The phone is always locked. When locked, you can receive incoming calls or make only emergency calls.
