Diagnosing problems If you have a problem with your computer, you can test it by using PC-Doctor® for Windows. To run PC-Doctor for Windows, do as follows: 1. Click Start. 2. Move the pointer to All Programs (in Windows other than Windows XP, Programs) and then to PC-Doctor for Windows. 3. Click PC-Doctor. For more information about PC-Doctor for Windows, see the Help for the program. Attention Running any tests can take up to several minutes or longer. Make sure you have time to run the entire test; do not interrupt the test while it is running. When preparing to contact the Customer Support Center, be sure to print the test log so that you can rapidly provide information to the help technician. Diagnosing HDD from BIOS Setup Utility You can diagnose the hard disk drive without starting up the operating system. To diagnose the hard disk drive from the BIOS Setup Utility, do as follows: 1. If the diskette drive is connected to the computer, remove any diskette from the diskette drive, and then turn off the computer. 2. Turn on the computer. 3. While the message, "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue ThinkVantage button," is displayed at the lower left of the screen, press F1 to enter BIOS Setup Utility. Chapter 3. You
can
diagnose
the
hard
