5. Remove the retainer from the failing diskette drive or card reader and install it on the new diskette drive or card reader. 6. Slide the new diskette drive or card reader into the drive bay until it snaps into position. 7. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the new diskette drive. If you are installing a card reader, connect the signal cable to the card reader connector on the system board. 8. Reinstall the front bezel. 9. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 120.
