7. Connect the power switch/LED cable to the system board. 8. Reinstall the front bezel. 9. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 150. Replacing the card reader Attention Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Important safety information" in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with your computer. To obtain a copy of the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide, go to: http://www.lenovo.com/support This section provides instructions on how to replace the card reader. To replace the card reader: 1. Open the computer cover. See "Opening the cover" on page 125. 2. Pivot the drive bay assembly upward to gain access to the card reader. See "Computer components" on page 123. 3. Locate the card reader. 4. Disconnect the card reader cable from the front USB connector on the system board. See "System board connectors" on page 124. 5. Remove the screw that secures the card reader to the chassis. 6. Remove the card reader from the chassis. 7. Install a new card reader into the chassis and align the screw hole in the new card reader with the hole in the chassis. 8. Install the screw to secure the new card reader to the chassis. 9.
