Replacing the rear fan assembly Attention Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Important safety information" in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with your computer. To replace the rear fan assembly: 1. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 87. 2. Note the routing of the rear fan cable to the system board. Disconnect the rear fan cable from the system fan connector on the system board. See "Locating parts on the system board" on page 89. 3. The fan assembly is mounted with four rubber mounts that protrude through the rear of the chassis.
