Replacing a PCI adapter card Attention Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Important safety information" in the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide that came with your computer. To obtain a copy of the ThinkCentre Safety and Warranty Guide, go to: http://www.lenovo.com/support This section provides instructions on how to replace a PCI adapter card. To replace a PCI adapter card: 1. Remove cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 117. 2. Open the PCI adapter card latch and remove the failing PCI adapter card. 3. Remove the new PCI adapter card from its static-protective package. 4. Install the new PCI adapter card into the appropriate slot on the system board and close the PCI adapter card latch. 5.
