Linksys Instant EtherFast® Series Windows 98 Installation and Setup Overview After physically installing the EtherFast® 10/100 LAN Card in your computer, follow these instructions to install the network device driver. The installation procedure for the network driver will vary depending on which version of Windows 98 you are using, and on your current system configuration. If at any time during the installation you encounter problems, consult the Troubleshooting section. Installing the Network Card's Driver 1. Start up your PC in Windows 98. 2. Windows 98 will automatically detect the presence of the EtherFast® Card in your PC. 3. Slide the "Linksys LNE100TX (v5) Fast Ethernet Adapter Drivers" diskette into your floppy drive while the Add New Hardware Wizard window is visible. Click the Next button. EtherFast® 10/100 LAN Cards 4. Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" and click the Next button. 5. Select "Specify a location" and type "A:\WIN98" in the drop-down box.
