The red REC/OTR light will appear on the front of the TV/VCR/DVD. You must turn off the TV/VCR/DVD to activate a timer recording. If the power is not off and you continue watching TV, TIMER REC STANDBY starts flashing on the screen two minutes before the programmed start time. Turn off the unit to do the recording. Helpful Hints • To correct information while setting the Timer Recording, press s to go back one step and select the incorrect information. Press ▲ or ▼ to enter the correct information. • While a timer recording is in progress, the red REC/OTR light will flash. • If a timer recording is set for hours or days later, you can use the TV/VCR/DVD until then. Just be sure to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD about five minutes before the recording. Set the Cable Box/Satellite Receiver if appropriate. • If the record tab is missing, the videotape will eject when you press STANDBY-ON to turn off the TV/VCR/DVD. Insert a recordable tape for the timer recording. • If the tape ends before the recording is complete, the TV/VCR/DVD will stop recording immediately and eject the tape.
