Sound will be mute during slow motion. Slow motion will stop automatically after five minutes to prevent damage to the tape. 2 Press PLAY B to return to normal playback. Forward and Reverse Searching (SP/LP/SLP) 1 During videotape play, press and release i / g or j / h. A fast forward or reverse picture search will begin. Super High Speed Searching (LP/SLP) 1 During tape play, press i / g or j / h, then press again. The TV/VCR/DVD will search the tape in high speed. Press i / g or j / h repeatedly to switch between regular and high speed searching. 2 To return to normal play, press PLAY B. Viewing a Still Picture 1 During tape play, press k (pause). A still picture will appear on the screen. The picture advances each time you press k (pause). After a tape is paused for five minutes, play will stop automatically. This prevents damage to the tape and TV/VCR/DVD. 2 If the still picture vibrates vertically, stabilize the picture by pressing CH. ▲ or ▼. 3 To release the still picture and return to normal play, press PLAY B. Helpful Hints • SP/LP/SLP means this feature will work with tapes recorded in Standard Play, Long Play, or Super Long Play.
