4.25.7 Call screening on/off Call screening allows you to hear the message being recorded, and if you want, you may interrupt the message recording and take the call. If call screening is set to be ON, you can listen to the caller leaving the message through the base speaker when the answering machine is recording, the corded base displays SCREENING. You can lift up the corded handset or press /HOME to talk to the caller through earpiece or speakerphone. If call screening is set to be OFF, the answering machine is just recording the message. When the answering machine is recording, the corded base displays RECORDING. You can turn on/off base screening as follows: 1. Press MENU (Base) and then or to select ANS. MACHINE. 2. Press MENU (Base) and then or to select BS SCREENING. 3. Press MENU (Base) and then or to turn on/ off call screening. 4. Press MENU (Base) to save the setting. 4.25.8 Deleting all old messages 1.
