To use a Bluetooth headset To Do this 1 Start up the connection function Press the MENU key Æ select External connection Æ Bluetooth. 2 Register the headset to the handset If the headset is not yet registered on Bluetooth screen, (pairing) register it by the following procedures: 1 Put the headset in standby mode. (Refer to the instructions manual of the headset for details.) 2 Press the Options menu key and select Search. 3 Execute the pairing with the detected headset, and then enter Passkey. (Refer to the instructions manual of the headset for details on the procedure and the PIN code) When the authentication is complete, the headset is registered to Bluetooth screen. Note : Passkey referred to here is the Bluetooth PIN code for the remote device (the headset). Refer to the instructions manual of the headset for details. 3 Put e616 in idle mode for Bluetooth Select All devices, or the registered device name for the headset. 4 Prepare e616 for a Bluetooth connection Place e616 within the communication range of the Bluetooth device. Note : Depending on the radio communication condition, you may have to place the device nearer to e616. Note : When there is a wall or an electric device in between the Bluetooth device and e616, the connection may be interrupted. Connections -120-
